Comedian Russell Peters new Netflix series THE INDIAN DETECTIVE
“On the surface, D’Mello seems like he should fit in when he goes back to India, but he quickly finds out that even though he’s ethnically Indian, he’s culturally Canadian,” Peters said. “He’s a fish-out-of-water coming to terms with his own mixed feelings about India and his relationship with his father.” The Indian Detective is now showing on Netflix.

Black Lightning! Coming to CW Network Soon.

Warner Brothers has just released the first look images of Cress Williams in his BLACK LIGHTNING super hero gear. The new series which will air on the CW Network went into production three days ago in Atlanta. Everyone, including us at ComedyE.com, are very excited about this groundbreaking venture as forward thinking networks like CW cast minority and African American actors in roles of diverse character types as well as support directors and production companies that do so.
Cress Williams (Hart of Dixie, Never Been Kissed,The Doom Generation) will star in the series as Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning. Salim Akil (Sparkle, The Game, Jumping the Broom) is directing the pilot episode for the series from a script he wrote. New costumes are being designed for the character by Laura Jean Shannon (Iron Man, Blade: Trinity, The Jungle Book).

Black Lightning was the first African-American DC Comics Super Hero to have his own stand-alone comic title, and is based on the character created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden 40 years ago in 1977.
The plot of the character's life goes a little something like this... Jefferson Pierce made his choice years ago and hung up the suit and his secret identity. But now with one daughter hell-bent on justice and the other daughter, a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC Comics legend—Black Lightning.

Executive producer/writer & director Salim Akil said, “I knew way too much about the world as a young boy growing up in Richmond, California. I was no stranger to violence, death, hopelessness... Comics were a great way for me to escape. I was about 13 when Black Lightning was created. Finally there was a Black Super Hero that gave a damn about our neighborhood and our lives."
Akil hopes that bringing BLACK LIGHTNING to the television masses at this time in history will prove to be a breath of fresh air that everyone can relate to no matter what race. "Resurrecting him at a time in our society when a sense of hope is lacking,” Akil continues, “Black Lightning will be that hope. And in updating the suit, it will signal to a new generation that it’s time to harness and release our power, and become our own Super Heroes.”

When their newborn Boss Baby (Alec Baldwin) arrives in the Templeton household wearing a business suit and attracting all the attention of the parents, his 7 year older brother, Tim (now a formerly only child) (Miles Christopher Bakshi & Tobey Maguire), is not too happy with the situation.
DreamWorks has created this wildly imaginative animated full-length feature Directed by: Tom McGrath (Megamind, Madagascar) and written by: Michael McCullers (Austin Powers, Mr. Peabody) based on the award-winning original picture-book story that was created by: Marla Frazee.
Older Brother Tim, (Miles Christopher Bakshi) and Boss Baby (Alec Baldwin) must join forces.
Yes, this is a most unusually "bossy" baby who wants and demands attention in a hilarious movie about how a new baby's arrival impacts a family. The story is told from the point of view of the delightfully unreliable narrator, the older brother, Tim, with a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family.

The Boss Baby is an authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages. Although your kids may not get some of the grown-up references, they will totally enjoy the film while adults have fun too.

Little Big Town Appearing On Sesame Street
SESAME STREET - Hit musical group Little Big Town will appear on the show in April as the show's producers have great things in store for us all starting with the April 1, 2017 show, “Get Ready for Today” in which Elmo and Abby help Crystal the Ball come up with a morning routine so that she can be ready to go out and play.
An then as the show continues its 47th Season with Episode 14: “Painting with Cookie Monster” , airing on Saturday, April 8th, Cookie Monster learns how to control himself from eating his own paintings. This will be followed up by the Monday, April 10th show entitled “Meet Julia” where Big Bird finds Elmo and Abby playing with Julia, a new friend on Sesame Street.
In this groundbreaking episode, Big Bird notices that Julia plays a little bit differently than the others and Alan (Alan Muraoka - Day of Independence) helps him understand that Julia has autism. Big Bird learns that kids with autism sometimes do things in a different way, but they share many things in common with all kids – like wanting to have fun and be loved. Julia and the Sesame friends invent a new game called “boing tag,” and then all come together to dance and sing, celebrating the amazing in all kids.
And on April 22nd in “Make Your Garden Grow”, Elmo has made sure his apple tree has good soil, water and sunshine, but he still needs to learn how to be patient and wait for it to grow.
Finally, on Saturday, April 29th at 9:00am- 9:30am(est) Sesame Street will air “Bike Show with a Beat” and we find Nina and her friends turning bike parts into musical instruments to help them make music and attract customers to her new bike shop. Guest star on this show will be Little Big Town.
SESAME STREET is available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and affiliate portals.
