Journey on an adventure back in time which takes the duo on an epic trip hurdling back in time to experience world-changing events first-hand as they interact with some of the greatest characters of all time. But when Sherman breaks the rules of time travel, our two heroes find themselves in a race to repair history and save the future, while Mr. Peabody may face his biggest challenge yet - being a parent.

Directed by  Rob Minoff (“The Lion King”, “Stuart Little”) and written by Jay Ward (“George of The Jungle”), Craig Wright (“Dirty Sexy Money”), Robert Ben Garant (“Night At The Museum") and Thomas Lennon (“Night At The Museum”, Herbie Fully Loaded”), “Mr. Peabody & Sherman, was budgeted at $145 million.

Based upon the original cartoon first released and created in the late 1950’s and 1960’s (animated series “Rocky and His Friends” and “The Bullwinkle Show”)  The characters have both developed quite substantially over the years and a key to understanding this cartoon is understating the history of Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

The cartoons are about Peabody, a beagle who is the smartest being in existence. Peabody has accomplished many things in his life as a business magnate, inventor, scientist, Nobel laureate, gourmand, and two-time Olympic medalist. One day, Mr. Peabody becomes sad and lonely and decides to adopt a human son. In an alley, he meets Sherman, a dorky, glasses-wearing, orange-haired boy. After saving Sherman from a group of bullies, Peabody discovers that Sherman is an orphan and decides to adopt him.  After a court appearance and a talk with the President and the government, Peabody becomes Sherman's new guardian.

Peabody realizes that boys need running room and so invents the WABAC machine as a birthday gift for Sherman. He and Sherman then go back in time to see places and people like: ancient Rome, Ben Franklin,  Paul Revere , Robin Hood, Daniel Boone, William Shakespeare, George Washington, Mona Lisa, Nero and Beethoven to name just a few.  Employing various strategies, Peabody, assisted by Sherman, always finds a way to fix problems though not always in a manner true to the historical record.

Growing Up Fisher - Bringing in the ratings!

Growing Up Fisher
Review Summary Update - By: DeAlan Wilson Posted on www.ComedyE.com

J.K. Simmons (“The Closer,” “Law & Order”), stars as Mel Fisher in NBC’s new  family comedy “Growing Up Fisher.”  A new original sitcom centered around the family-life of what would otherwise be a typical American family except for the fact that the dad is blind and mom  acts like a teenaged daughter.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way… let’s face it, the Fishers are anything but   your  “typical” family.  Take the father, Mel, for example.  Mel does all the typical household and  fatherly chores such as yard work including chopping down trees plus teaching his daughter how to drive a car and playing football with his son.

Then there’s Joyce (Jenna Elfman- “Dharma and Greg”, “My Name Is Earl”) Mom.  She’s your typical teenager, really.  She’s into fashion, music and busy with school.  The problem here is that Mom’s behavior makes it difficult for her real-life teenage daughter, Katie (Ava Deluca-Verley, “Southland”), whose advice (and clothes) Mom is always seeking.

Caught in the middle of all of this is Henry (Eli Baker), the Fisher’s 11-year-old son who is having his own issues accepting Dad’s new guide dog Elvis.  Having always been Dad’s eyes as well as his “right-hand-man” Henry is at first reluctant to accepting Elvis and the changes that Elvis brings.  But, upon reflection, the adult Henry (voice of Jason Bateman), realizes that his parent’s split finally allows the Fishers to become one happy (divorced) family.

Now in its premiere season, “Growing Up Fisher” has begun to pick-up steam bringing in over  *6.5 million viewers  when it aired on Tuesday night, March 18, 2014.  This grand  total surpassed old prime-time favorites including “Glee” on FOX which captured 2.8 million viewers and  other newer series including “Trophy Wife” on ABC with 3.15 million viewers.

With seasoned comic actors Elfman and Simmons leading the cast, we think this show is off to a really good start.  Should it continue on the path of attracting large audiences each week, it may have long-term staying power. The story for the show is based upon the life of executive producer, DJ Nash (“Up All Night,” “Bent” - see trailer ) is co-produced by Jason Bateman, Jim Garavente (“Identity Thief”) and Tucker Cawley (“Up All Night,” “Everybody Loves Raymond”). “Growing Up Fisher” is produced by Universal Television and Aggregate Films.

We recently found out that Zac Efron did not—we repeat, did not—go to the Oscars with a sober coach. A report recently falsely claimed that the actor needed a companion with him to make sure he didn't fall off the wagon. Turns out the person who accompanied Efron to Hollywood's biggest show of the year was his longtime manager Jason Barrett. Looking sharp in a Calvin Klein Collection tux, Efron was a hit on the red carpet, causing fans to erupt with loud screams and applause.

Efron most recently starred in That Awkward Moment with Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller about three buddies who make a pact to stay single after the only married one splits from his wife.

Currently, Efron is headed to the SXSW Festival in Austin this weekend for the world premiere of Neighbors, his new comedy about a young couple (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) with a newborn who move next door to a fraternity. Efron plays one of the rowdy frat boys. After SXSW, he'll be traveling to promote the film. "We are going all over the world," Efron said on the Oscars red carpet.

Efron checked into rehab about a year ago. "He's healthy, happy and not drinking," a source said a few months after his stint was completed. "He's taking time to focus on working."

Based on the best-selling Nick Hornby (“High Fidelity,” “An Education”) novel comes the series “About a Boy,” a different kind of coming-of-age story.

He’s single, unemployed and loving it. So imagine his surprise when Fiona (Minnie Driver, “Good Will Hunting,” “Grosse Pointe Blank”), a needy single mom and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham, “1600 Penn”), move in next door and disrupt his perfect world.

When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend, until, of course, Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is struck: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and, in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house, play ping-pong and gorge on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.

LEGO MOVIE Summary

Open now in theatres everywhere, The LEGO® Movie is a 3D animated film which follows lead character, Emmet (voice by: Chris Pratt), a completely ordinary & rules-following, LEGO minifigure. who is mistakenly identified as the most "extraordinary person" and the key to saving the Lego universe.

Trailer Courtesy: Warner Bros. Pictures/ Youtube
An ordinary guy, Emmet is mistaken as being the "Master Builder" or the 'ONE' who can save the universe. Drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared, Emmet teams up with old mystic Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), a tough young lady named Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), and Batman (Will Arnett), to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell) who is bent on destroying their universe by gluing it all together permanently.

Despite the fact that the film is just now opening in theatres, Warner Bros. is so confident in The LEGO® Movie that the studio is already considering making a sequel. (That's, of course, if this new animated feature takes-off as anticipated.) However, judging from popular interest on social media, things are looking really good for Emmet and his co-hearts in Legoland or “Bricksburg” as the imaginary city is called in this new movie.

The LEGO® Movie is the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure. It is directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller.

Check out the trailer here on ComedyE.com. Warner Bros. has just released it and some of film's stars speak about the making of the movie, as well as the process of lending their voices and faces to the creators of The LEGO® Movie.
